Vases inspired by the expression "In Nature nothing is lost, nothing is created - everything is transformed."

These vases, hand-carved by João, seek to give a second life to woods from various sources - prunings from the municipality, workshop scraps, or woods that come our way. Thus, we have woods as diverse as acacia, mahogany, pine, pear, or plum...

Their organic shape and unique texture aim to highlight the uniqueness of the wood they originated from.

They can be used as decorative pieces or vases for dried flowers, adapting to different environments, from minimalist and contemporary designs to rustic interiors. They can be placed on a shelf, coffee table, entryway furniture, or vanity...

About the collection:

This is a collection of unique pieces, inspired by nature, wood, and the beauty of its imperfections.

Each one is the result of manual labor, respecting and following the time and uniqueness of the wood we are working with.

At its core are various woods: woods we find, woods offered to us, resulting from prunings, or our own workshop scraps.

Thus, no two pieces are alike: they are the result of manual labor, where each piece takes its time to come to life.

In the end, you can see the work of two craftsmen: man and nature...

Do not use with water.

Cracks and knots are part of the nature of the material.

The piece comes with a 10 x 15 cm illustration that depicts the Portuguese expression it refers to and explains its meaning, which can be framed.

Care and Maintenance

For daily cleaning, wipe with a dry cloth. For a deeper clean, wipe with a cloth dampened in water and then dry immediately.

Shipping and Delivery

Standard shipping to Europe takes about 5-10 business days. All pieces are shipped with CTT, DPD or GLS to Europe. Shipping to the rest of the world takes between 15 to 25 business days. Orders are shipped with CTT.

Portuguese Expression

The phrase 'In nature, nothing is created, nothing is lost, everything is transformed' is attributed to Lavoisier, and it refers to the Law of Conservation of Mass or Lavoisier's Law. This is one of the laws governing chemical reactions and states that in a chemical transformation, where certain substances are transformed into others, the mass of these substances is not altered, meaning the mass of the reactants is equal to the mass of the products.

All SO-SO objects are designed and handmade in our studio in Cascais - Lisbon. We believe that this slow process of craftwork, where each piece takes its time to come to life, makes them unique and singular.
